Technically, it’s not a visa but a UK ETA (United Kingdom Electronic Travel Authorization). The ETA is a special entry authorization for nationals from specific visa-exempt countries. This doesn’t go into effect until April 1, 2025 so we’re not experts yet but trying to get as much info as we can for you all! Essentially it’s a one time fee that is valid for 2 years and allows you to travel and stay in the UK for up to 6 months within the 2 year period. You are able to obtain this in the airport but we HIGHLY recommend obtaining it beforehand, especially those traveling through London Heathrow. Good news is that this is only ~$13! (~10 pounds) Please visit the link below to obtain your personal ETA. You'll have to download an app! Do not pay more than ~10 pounds per visa, there are scam websites asking for ~79 pounds. Unpredictable, just like us! When we visited the venue in April 2024, it was storming like crazy .. But 30min passed and it was beautiful and sunny for the rest of the day. We’ll send out a text blast the day before and the day of with any weather updates that might affect the ceremony start time. But best to bring a jacket in any case and we’ll be providing umbrellas if necessary :) Also for those wearing heels, heel protectors will also be provided as the ceremony is in a forested area!

Yes, we’ll be providing transportation only to the wedding (no return trip; the venue will help you get a taxi back at the end of the night). Check back here for more updates on time and location of pick ups!

Because Derry is a part of Northern Ireland which is now controlled by the United Kingdom, the British pound is the main form of currency. They will also accept euros, you just may receive change in pounds. **Note: It’s best to not bring any USD and pull money out from bank ATMs in Ireland. All currency exchange places can be quite the rip off so avoid bringing any cash with you from the states.
